Live Demonstration - Richard Rohr
Turning a Handbell
I have been involved in woodworking since I was teenager. Most of my work was “flat work” making cabinets, shelfs and whatever might be needed for friends and family. In 2014 I joined BWWT after seeing members demonstrating at the Minerva Art and Jazz festival. I had a lathe prior to joining the club, but only did simple spindles and really did not know how to use the basic tools that came with the lathe. I've have been turning Christmas ornaments since 2000. I make anywhere from 30-60 ornaments a year for family and friends. The ornaments are all original designs. I embellish them with some basic line carving.
