Brent Wells - Demonstrating Pen Turning
I grew up in wood working. My father was a high school wood shop teacher and my earliest memories come from being in that class room with him wait for my school to start and helping him with many projects over the years. I was first introduced to wood turning when I was finally in shop class. It intrigued me more then any other part of the class. In my late twenties I would always look at the projects he made after he bought his own lathe and I wanted to make them myself. I bought my first lathe in 2013 and joined BWWT in 2014. My interests lie in hollow forms, boxes, bowls and platters. I also like to experiment with paints, dyes, airbrushing and textures to enhance the characteristics of wood.
